Who operates GreenSnap

Information we collect
Depending on how you use the app, GreenSnap may collect:
- Google sign-in account details such as email address and display name
- Garden records such as plants you track, care progress, scans used, and settings
- Photos you upload for plant identification or plant-health scans
- Approximate app usage and diagnostic data through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics
- Purchase and entitlement status related to subscriptions or credits
Why we collect it
- To create and maintain your account
- To identify plants and generate care plans
- To save your garden history across sessions and devices
- To improve reliability, detect failures, and prevent abuse
- To manage billing, subscriptions, and feature access
How data is stored
GreenSnap uses Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Analytics, and Crashlytics. Plant photos and garden records may be processed and stored in these services for app functionality and support.
How photos are used
Photos submitted for identification or scan analysis are used only to provide app features such as plant recognition, health analysis, and care recommendations. They are not sold to third parties.
Sharing
GreenSnap does not sell personal information. Data may be shared with service providers used to operate the app, including Firebase infrastructure and related processing services required for plant analysis and app operations.
Retention
Account data is retained while your account remains active or as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve support issues, and meet legal or billing obligations.
Your choices
- You can choose not to use Google sign-in and continue without an account where supported
- You can stop uploading photos at any time
- You can request deletion of your account data by contacting support
Children
GreenSnap is not directed to children under 13, and the service should not be used to intentionally provide personal information from children under that age.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated as the app changes. Updated versions will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
